Using User manager on same 1100AHx2 with hotspot

Hello,

I have a 1100AHx2 as my main server, I have a bridge using ether2, ether3 and ether4 as the bridges ports. I use this bridge for my Ptp wireless clients. The ip of this bridge is 172.28.0.1/21. I have now created a hotspot using ether11, the ip for this hotspot is 10.5.50.1/24. The hotspot works.

I am trying to setup the user manager as the radius server, I have followed the instructions here http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/User_Manager/Hotspot_Example…

I have setup the radius on the 1100, I am not sure what IP address to use. I have also created a router on the user manager but I am also not sure what address to use. Since they are both in the same equipment, do I use 127.0.0.1? or do I use the address of each corresponding interface?

Use 127.0.0.1 on both sides. On radius settings and on User Manager’s router settings.

Thank you is now working as radius. Now I have another problem, I created a profile with rate and burst limitation, for some reason the burst is not working when user that are on the radius list log in. I also created the same profile on the hotspot profiles and the users that log in with the hotspot profile works… I am not sure why this is happening, any suggestions?

If you wanted the BURST to work correctly you should config it correctly or else it wont work.
Can you post your limitation?
