Using WDS

I have an AP with WDS enabled on it running in dynamic mode. I also have WDS enabled on my CPE’s. Is this the correct thing to do or should I turn off WDS on the CPE’s? I am running an ISP and have about 40 clients per AP. Just trying to get the best configuration and performance I can with the least amount of problems.

Thanks

Jay

if you are using MT, why bridge the CPE? IS there a reason? Make it a router, as it is. Nat it at the CPEs…

By far the easiest to centrally manage is running a PPPoE server on the routerboard. It should handle 40 users fairly easy. WDS generates alot of overhead when running more than 5 at once.

Of course if your totally bent on bridging, the pseudobridge on ROS 3 looks pretty nice. I have not tried it personally.
