yes there were issues with the initial release, which have been corrected by now. beta 2 will be on the website today

but how do i get the new version on the box without loosing my licence

i can’t ftp it anymore… no networkconnection to the box anymore.;
only terminal is working.

tell me…

the beta test version is not recommended for use in real networks, read the warning on mikrotik.com

when the 2.9 beta 2 is on the web, reinstall the router. if you lose the license or there is trouble, email support please

Thats why its our TEST router… :slight_smile:

no testing in live networks he…

also as a note, you can use the PXE feature on your Soekris to boot from a Netinstall server (PXE = boot from network) and reinstall with the Netinstall program. The license will be kept in this case

i’ll try the pxe thing… with the netinstall.

seeing forward to B2
