Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make the hotspot application in version 2.9.x layer 3 only?
It seems that the “active hosts” table in the hotspot on 2.9.x binds the client ip and mac address together. This poses a big problem for us because we use a wireless meshing technology that uses proxy-arp and the clients mac address may change (from the perspective of the Mikrotik) as the customer roams from AP to AP.
If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated! The 72 hour response of Mikrotik e-mail support is dreadful - especially since they only reply with one sentenance that is rarely helpful.
