what is not working exactly? a lot of others are downloading it with no issues, we can see the many transfers in our tracker.

I still have problem useing eoip tunnel between 4.17 and 5.11

RB433 from 5.9 to 5.11 successfully upgraded.

Hi Normis, 2 x86 Core PC/RouterOS with 5.10 are rebooting frequently…
Downgraded to 5.8 and problem solved…

v5.11 do something with that?

Thanks and Regards!

What boards you have on both ends?
Could you make a support output file from both of them and send to support@mikrotik.com

2 updates in the last week and no fix for the metarouter interface enumeration problem?

I will send it to support team eoip tunnel is very important to me.

Are you sure? Did you test, or are you just commenting the changelog?

I did an upgrade from 4.13 to 5.11, and manually installed the user-manager, reboot, then CPU load is 100% and user-manager not working. I see in the profiler, user-manger taking more than 90% cpu usage. So I’ve disabled it, and now all wireless/hotspot client can’t connect. :frowning:

Any suggestions?

Answer depends on package you had before upgrade,

  • v4.x usermanager-test, there should not be any problems with upgrade from v4.x to v5.x;
  • v4.x usermanager, in some cases there could be problems, and it is easier to start new configuration, if you want to avoid manual reconfiguration of profiles and users.

Please make new post in User Manager section for questions about User Manager!

Since the user-manager is not installed by default, so I installed it manually using the file “user-manager-4.13-mipsbe.npk” which is extracted from “all_packages-mipsbe-4.13.zip”. So, what should I do? Is there any better solution than resetting the ROS to default and reconfigure all again?

When user-manager from 5.11 installed, it’s hard to do anything, cpu load is 100% and winbox become very slow respond. Tried to clear the user-manager database also doesn’t works, it said timed-out or something.

Did you wait long enough? It takes a while for the database to convert/rebuilt. In the meantime the cpu load will be high. I had trouble upgrading from 5.8 to 5.9. I havn’t tried 5.11 yet. Maybe you shuld try 5.8?

Before upgrading - make sure there are no special characters(“-+%€öäå” etc) in profile names, router names etc. and the upgrade will be smother

Hello,

Yes, i thought it so. Have been waiting for more than half an hour but still no different.

I already make sure, there’s no non-alphabets char.

Just some ideas:

  1. If you see both “flash” and “userman” in profile with high % - the chance is its still trying to convert. Maybe using an other RB or x86 with more memory will
    do it better…

  2. What about trying 4.17 with userman test-package. Run, rebuild and then update to ROS 5…

I’ve upgraded RB751 from 5.10 to 5.11 and it was strange then - rebooting immediately after connecting any cable (from empty switch too) to any of switched ports 2-5. Counter “Total Sector Writes” was erased. I saved config and supout file, then tried to reset configuration using jumper - it was all right then, after loading configuration as well.

what did you see in the log file after the the reboot?any auto support output file generated?

There was something about not proper shutdown in the log file, but I didn’t see any supout file. I have supout before crash - I saved it (using ether1 - only port without problems), then connected cable to other port, router crashed immediately and was not able to boot until cable was removed. I can send the supout if it could help to avoid similar behaviour in the future.
