v6.33.5 Mess with packages

Hello everyone!
Describe my situation and hope for help.
I have two identical ccr1036-12g-4s v6.22. Today I decided to upgrade to 6.33.5 and to test with new features nat + trafic-flow + fast track. But it doesn’t come up because I came across a problem with the packages.
That would not interrupt the network, updating them in one by one. Update the first router, throw the 7 packages via FTP, then reboot:

And then there is a strange situation, I have lost many packages not marked as “disabled”. Just gone. Just missing the main package “routeros-tile”:

Second router works, so don’t panic I checked all.. Surprising was the fact that it’s working. This is the main package is not needed at all? In any case, I uploaded it over, and rebooted the router again. Many unnecessary packages appeared again, including still disabled “wireless-cm2” and “ipv6”:

I checked that everything works, and decided to begin with the second router. And then faced with an even more mysterious situation.

Threw the files via FTP, rebooted, checked that the packages are updated, blocked as I don’t want all the packages except the “ppp”(as on the first router), and something strange had happened:

Wait… Whaaaaaat?!! Why “system” and “routing” are disabled?!
And again, once the first router is operating normally, without panic I checked all. Was the second also works, and routing rules work fine and everything else works.
I immediately decided to unlock the “right” packages:

[prot@NAT_sw2] /system package> enable routing
[prot@NAT_sw2] /system package> enable security
[prot@NAT_sw2] /system package> enable advanced-tools
[prot@NAT_sw2] /system package> enable system

It didn’t work. Then I decided to try to unlock via the web interface.
And saw this:

I have two questions:
First, addon (stable) to version 6.33.5, this is a joke?
Second, what do I do now? Downgrade?

Now you can have multiple same packages on device. For example two PPP packages where one is from bundle and another one installed separately. Of course you can not use both of them at the same time.

*) packages - allow to reinstall from bundle to separate packages & vice versa;
*) packages - prefer out of bundle packages when both of them are installed;

We will try to improve looks so you could see which are bundled and which are separately installed packages.

Strods, what makes you confident that it is better to deliver new devices with bundled packages installed than with those same packages installed as individuals? I am not asking about package selection but about the form how they are installed.

Hello,

How would I go about switching from bundled packages to individuals.
Or have bundle packages became the best practice?

Thanks

Just drag and drop selected packages of newer version and reboot. Or older version and press downgrade. Then you can update to whatever newer version normally.

The best practice according to me is to use individual packages because you spare disk space and memory. And you can freely add or remove whatever package as you wish.

OK that’s my idea as well and how I was handling them on RB450G. The RB1100AHx2 I just received contains the bundled version. I’ll “fix” that upon next release.

Thank you!
