v6.41.4 [current]

RouterOS version 6.41.4 has been released in public “current” channel!
Before an upgrade:

  1. Remember to make backup/export files before an upgrade and save them on another storage device;
  2. Make sure the device will not lose power during upgrade process;
  3. Device has enough free storage space for all RouterOS packages to be downloaded.

What’s new in 6.41.4 (2018-Apr-05 12:23):
!) tile - improved overall system performance and stability (“/system routerboard upgrade” required);
*) led - fixed unused “link-act-led” LED trigger on RBLHG 2nD, RBLHG 2nD-XL and RBSXTsq 2nD;
*) led - removed unused “link-act-led” trigger for devices which does not use it;
*) netinstall - sign Netinstall executable with an Extended Validation Code Signing Certificate;
*) poe - do not show “poe-out-current” on devices which can not determine it;
*) poe - hide PoE related properties on interfaces which does not provide power output;
*) winbox - made UDP local and remote TX size parameters optional in Bandwidth Test tool;
*) winbox - show dual SIM options only for RouterBOARDs which does have two SIM slots;
*) winbox - use proper graph name for HDD graphs;
*) wireless - enable all chains by default on devices without external antennas after configuration reset;

To upgrade, click “Check for updates” at /system package in your RouterOS configuration interface, or head to our download page: http://www.mikrotik.com/download

If you experience version related issues, then please send supout file from your router to support@mikrotik.com. File must be generated while router is not working as suspected or after some problem has appeared on device

Please keep this forum topic strictly related to this concrete RouterOS release.

Still no fix for hAP ac2 poor WiFi performance unfortunatly.

Thanks! :slight_smile:

  • is it the same improvement, as in 6.41.3 (identical description), or yet a new improvement (improving it even more), or did the improvement in 6.41.3 didn’t work? :slight_smile:

CAP AC remonte upgrade from router:
upgrade status: no such file, failed, failed to download file ‘routeros-arm-6.41.4.npk’, no such file’

dmorg - First this problem must be resolved within RC version and backported to bugfix/current channels only if it would be possible. Please follow the changelog.
dasiu - We can say that this is improved improvement :slight_smile:
Simono - I do not see any problems with download links. Do you try “Check for updates” feature? If you do, which IP is resolved by this command “:put [:resolve upgrade.mikrotik.com]”? Try the command multiple times until resolved IP addresses start to repeat themselves. Should be - 159.148.147.204 and 159.148.172.226.

strods upgrade from Winbox connected directly to Cap ac is OK. Eariel I was connected remonte to my router and I do upgrade from Capsman on it to Caps connected to router. On others Caps (lite) upgrade was OK only on Cap ac upgrade was unsucces. Now I have 6.41.4 on all my units.

Hi,
after upgrade to 6.41.4 I have noticed in log message “installed wireless**@**-6.41.4”

Few lines above there is “verified wireless-6.41.4-mipsbe.npk”, which is correct.
After upgrade in System - Packages shows correct “wireless” with version.

I think I have also seen that in 6.41.3.
Just log message seems to be wrong - looks like typo or small bug.

Sadly still no fix for the issue introduced with 6.41.3 with LTE modem Huawei ME909s-120 connected through USB port.

where is the ova Download link in download page?

jetelina - Do not worry about that. In the past (old versions) we had wireless package and now we have another one which is also called wireless. This “@” symbol is there on purpose;
netflow - Is modem working properly on 6.42rc?
irghost - Will be back on download page as soon as possible.

Since I just ordered a few. Is there any pointer to more information about that one?

Try this topic http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/hap-ac-2-problems-extremely-poor-performance-found-in-2-4g-and-5g-wifi/118063/1 - RC builds are slightly better, but still crappy. Still no info from MT, only many complains from users.

Updated two 3011, two wAP AC, one CHR running on Hyper-V and also a 493G without any issues.
Are there any official plan to fix the firmware so it auto upgrades so I do not have to restart each machine twice every time? By offical plan I mean when this will be solved and not Yes it will be solved.

Updated RB2011UAS, RB750GL, RB1100, RB962 (9x), CRS125 and CHR running Dude without any issues

For me the speed is also poor on my cAP AC, on cAP Lite i’ve got better speed and stability. I’m dissapointed. I’ve buy some cAP AC to my company and now …
I,ve have connected all cAPs to CAPsMAN on router.

Dear Mikrotik please for the last time fix throughput problem when hw offload is enabled on 960PGS (hEX PoE)
Just add two units to hEX make a btest from 1gbit Unit to 100mbit (Or from 100mbit to 100mbit) Unit with hwofload=yes
Also log show “apr/10/2018 09:43:13 system,info,critical cpu not running at default frequency” cpu is set on default 800Mhz?

Updated a 2x CRS226 without a problem. But… my RB2011 is stuck. I hear a beep every few seconds, display shows routerboot, starting kernel… over and over again.
Power off/on does not solve anything. How to fix this (preferably without losing my config)?

Yeah, recently got the RB2011 back in use and forgot to back-up my config :frowning: .

woro, pepek, Simono - We are working on fixes for wireless improvements. Please note that this is “user forum”. In order to contact MikroTik staff, you should write to support@mikrotik.com. Please do not expect that your problem will be resolved after you have posted that on forum. Yes, we might notice your posts and topics, but official way is through an e-mail.
Kindis - We are slowly moving forward and preparing for something like this. In future, at some point, firmware upgrade will happen together with RouterOS upgrade.
Lakis - Have you reported this to support@mikrotik.com?
fvdm - Use Netinstall and make sure that “Keep old configuration” is enabled - https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Netinstall

Thanks, will give it a try!

Thanks for the feedback. I came across those issues only today in that announcement so I was looking for pointers only (yet).
But I also understood now that it’s not required to report further hAP ac2 wifi issues? Just asking because I got my first one today and going to test a bit.

Apart from that I fully get that the support mail is the only right thing (process wise).
