Hey guys;
I’ve been trying for hours to figure out how to work a proper queue tree in v6. I have been following instructions on the Wiki for a couple of weeks with no success as it’s still all showing v5.
In the meantime, I’ve got a basic “trunk” queue going with ease, but it’s not enough. I have attached a PDF diagram of what I’m after (basically - I think I want to break out all the VOIP traffic seperately from client priorities but if I can get this working that part should be easy).
All of the examples I can find elsewhere for anything close to what I want are also for v5. I tried to pick through the forums but frankly I’m stuck.
If someone could have a look at my diagram and give me an idea where to start? I’ve erased my entire tree (I’ve just got a single simple queue on ether1 at this point that’s 70/70.)
My “in” is Ether1 and my “out” is Ether2.
I have all the mangling done - some in prerouting and others in forward (I was using preroute to break out traffic in to client types then I was going to redo it in the Forward chain for classifying by type). I’ve tested and my mangle rules are catching everything so that part is, thankfully, done. I would post my mangle rules but you guys know what’s up and I would have to spend rather a while sanitizing it all and frankly I’m hungry, so I’m going to get a bite to eat. If it’s necessary I can do it later.
Cheers and thanks. Great forum (beats the pants off of Ubiquiti’s in terms of useful information =D )
