v7.17beta [testing] is released!

Well, I just looked at the webfig. Does look nice, & like the collapsing of the left-side.

But this one affects us.

The webfig “status page” was the only way to create some customer-friendly dashboard. I use these status pages (and custom “QuickSet-safe” defconf) to enable deployment by less-sophisticated installers/customers. So I’m not sure why remove stuff that was actually working. While the whole “status page” system could be improved – it was the only way I’ve found to present some simple “dashboard” to see if the routers was working, without having to navigate a half-dozen RouterOS menus to find out same info…

And the “can’t be updated” part really does not help… since often the “.id” of the status page elements does need to change sometimes. And given netinstall for the 16MB is common… so “keeping the old status page” is not so easily done.

Additionally, I notice there is a “Get Apps” in the new webfig, but that gets you an HTTP 404 from mikrotik.com/getapps:
