using winbox 64-bit v3.35, watching PPP active sessions still shows random connected sessions that are not really there (disconnecting winbox and connecting back doesn’t show these phantom sessions)
This is a generic problem with RouterOS v7: displayed data in winbox not updated correctly over time.
Press F5 to refresh.
In / System logging You can alter the default “info” logging rule so it’s topics are info and !ovpn
(so the ovpn stuff isn’t logged at all)
Additionally, if you want to see (some) ovpn logs without overwriting the rest, you can in actions make a new action like name: memory2, type: memory, Lines: 40 (or other suitable number), Don’t enable Stop on Full
Then in Rules add a new rule with topics info and ovpn, and action is memory2
installed a CCR2216 with 7.2.3 on a NAP with more then 200 bgp sessions and 3 upstreams with full route, with all sessions on affinity=alone
We have:
- only one cpu at 100%
- rotuing table impossible to sort by cli or winbox
- advertisments seems not working
- assigning a subnet ip on a vlan with such big routing table takes hours to have the subnet reachble through the vlan
the way is still very long
Do you also suffer, on CCR2116, from some IPs not responding when a large number of interfaces are configured (as described above) ?
FWIW, Mikrotik was able to reproduce my issue (interface flapping on CRS328s, especially with NAND activity) so hopefully they can find the root cause and we’ll see a fix. It’s still there in 7.2.3.
Huawei E3372 USB LTE Stick still doesn’t work.
Sorry for quotation. But can anybody here help to resolve an issue described here:
on CCR2216 with 3.2M routes (around 4 full routes) we had to disable the RPKI validation to avoid all cores go to 100% when validator update the cache.
we did it around 12.00pm and no more spike in cpu usage.
Now we deal with just one core running forever at 100% about routing:
tool/profile cpu=12
Columns: NAME, CPU, USAGE
NAME CPU USAGE
ethernet 12 2%
firewall 12 4%
networking 12 6.5%
management 12 0.5%
routing 12 81%
unclassified 12 2.5%
cpu12 96.5%

After upgrade to 7.2.3 getting “cpu not running on default frequency” on RBD52G-5HacD2HnD (hap ac2).
Bug?

A simple search before post something? “cpu not running on default frequency”?
http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/v7-2-is-released/157082/15
Yes, this is BUG… you must chose “auto” frequency.
This is not a bug, is wanted. New default is auto and if changed can be a problem.
Default frequency is 716MHz. Not "auto" like 488MHz...So this is non logical bug about warning.
When is something default, it runs on frequency from factory.
Some users had to setup default frequency, because it want run full internet speed on "auto" frequency. (RB5009)
I have also Hap ac2 and I don't have this warning on 6.49.6.
Maybe try "auto" and then 716MHz..
Ok, if you do not have noticed that, this is a topic about routeros 7.2.2/3:
New default FOR ROUTEROS is auto, and if changed a warning is issued.
From device Specifications: CPU nominal frequency 350-1400 (auto) MHz

Reading directly the Speec from
“Marvell® ARMADA® 7040 Quad-Core CA72 Processor with Marvell MoChi”
the default speed is… “up to 1.4 GHz”
I roll back from 7.2.3 to 7.2.0 and now I can login again via local IP. This is definitely a bug.
how about l3-hw. have you try and facing some issue?
How to l3-hw on such big (3.2M routes) routing table?

I noticed that it’s about 7.2.3, but you must have comparsion between v6 and v7. v7 has still more buggy..
Why I mention this…I have also RB5009 with v7.
On v7 are two problems!
1.“cpu frequency warning” is gone in v6 on default frequency..in v7 still warning.
2. factory firmware is different in v7 on RB5009.
