[v7]CRS226-24G-2S+ vlans configuration where? + Bonding support with CRS326-24S+

hello,

I have two question about this CRS (i using new v7 routerOS)

  1. Where to set vlans configuration? I want put Vlans translation to switch chip but i see two different valns setup → one in bridge segment (where we configuring vlans in new CRS3XX), and second one in switch segment. What segment is the best one for this CRS226?

  2. i want to setup bonding from CRS226 to CRS326. Yes i know that old CRS226 dont have 802.3ad support, but simple trunk will be enough. If i want to use switch chip to do it in CRS226 i need setup it in switch segment by adding trunk. But how configure it in CRS326? If i good understand then i need configure bonding in interface segment but what mode will be compatible with CCR226?

Best regards
Konrad

RouterOS Bridging and Switching
CRS1xx/2xx series switches

This article applies to CRS1xx and CRS2xx series switches and not to CRS3xx series switches. For CRS3xx series devices, read the CRS3xx, CRS5xx series switches and CCR2116, CCR2216 routers manual.

in CRS 1xx/2xx bonding is refered as trunking

Sorry but this adds nothing, i know it. But my problem is to set bonding/trunk between CRS2xx and CRS3xx. I need to know what setting are compatible.

I got answer from Mikrotik. If anyone have the same problem then there you have a solution

Thank you for contacting MikroTik Support.

1. Regarding VLANs, the bridge section should be used when vlan-filtering is enabled. But CRS1xx/2xx series switches do not support HW offloaded vlan-filtering, so you will need to use the switch section configuration.

2. Correct, on CRS226 you will need to use the trunk:
https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=103841836#CRS1xx/2xxseriesswitchesexamples-Trunking

For CRS3xx, you need to create bonding interface under the "/interface bonding", and configure this bonding interface as bridge port.
