I am having some difficulty getting a stable connection on VDSL. The bridged router is a Technicolor TG789vac v3 supplied by IINET. and the Mkrotik router is an RB951G.
The ISP does not use PPPOE, and so the internet traffic flows over Ethernet1 on the MT to the Technicolor and out to the internet. The connection drops every 15 minutes or so, although as far as the ISP is concerned the link stays up. I am using the Mikrotik to create a point to point between two branches and this keeps on dropping causing them all kinds of problems. Web browsing from the site with the new VDSL connection also fails when this happens. This was not happening before switching from an ADSL connection with PPPOE and the ADSL router/MODEM in bridged mode. Can someone give me some troubleshooting advice please?
