Hi,
I have 2 SXT-5HnD.
Use them to connect two buildings but now is the speed verry verry bad.
If I copy files from one site to the other it is going with a speed of 1.7MB
I know the ethernet of the SXT’s are 100Mb ports so I thought I must be able to copy with about 10MB/s
What could be wrong?

Connected at 150Mbps WAN with 100Mbps Ethernet, I can draw 11.4MB/s through it.
With your config, you should be able to draw over 15MB/s.
1.7MB/s as you say, is VERY LOW.
Your signal seams OK.
What’s your Tx/Rx CCQ?
ALSO, are you connected at 100M (your ethernet) or at 10M?
Where and how can I provide you de Tx/Rx CCQ?
Oh think I found it (Wireless | Status) Tx/Rx ccq = 84/90%
I’m 100M full duplux connected at both sites.
Only 100m and you’re not connected at full 300Mbps?
At 100m distance, you SHOULD have been locked at 300Mbps and Tx/Rx CCQ 100%.
a. Try to align once again their antennas looking FIRSTLY the CCQ and then their signal and wait a few seconds on every change you do - BEST IS to draw some data (copy/paste) from one spot to the other to immediate see the changes on the lockage Mbps of them (300Mbps) and the Tx/Rx CCQ of them.
b. Try to lower a bit in BOTH of them their output RF power IF a. doesn’t work well.
No, not 100 meter distance but 100Mbit connection at the Ethernet port.
The distantance between the 2 SXT-5HnD is about 250 meters (GOOD Sight).
How can I lower the TX RF???
In Wireless interface tick “Advanced Mode” and then go down and Tick on “Tx Power Mode” and pick the “all rates fixed” and play with them a bit dB to dB down.

please upgrade the RouterOS on both boards to v5.24 and then reset the wireless interface configuration by using this command:
/interface wireless reset-configuration wlan1
Then reconfigue the wireless interface - configure the option you only need and after that check the speed again.
Also please provide us with a export compact form the wireless menu from both boards:
/interface wireless export compact
uldis, guys like you who know and guys who are deeply involved with these things, it’s EASY to say: " Also please provide us with a export compact form the wireless menu from both boards:
/interface wireless export compact"
Have you EVER asked us newbies about these things, WHERE to find and type/place such scripts/words/etc…We simply DON’T know man!..I myself to understand what all of you mean in here by all these scrips/wolds, I read and read and read OVER a month now to find out that at least I have to use TELNET or something.
You just “trough” a phrase and you think that EVERYONE out there knows…

BE MORE specific with more details as for the newbies please. ![]()

49er, can you write to support@miktotik.com and provide remote access t your setup, we could try to debug it.
I send the email.
But how can I provide remote access?
I have the same problem with the same scenario.
How fix it?
What for problem you have? to slow throughput?
Yes, but at our debug lab, we found a low bandwidth in ethernet port. The RX = 97MB and the TX = 11MB.
I’m using the btest.exe with tcp protocol in both (TX+RX) from my PC to RB with UTP cable (1,8M).
The current firmware is v6.15.
Any ideas ?
Thanks.
maby to simple, have you change the network cable?
Yes, I did it 3 times and the issue continue.
We are testing a lot of firmwares to try solve it.
Thanks.
For all clarity.
Both sxt’s are connected wirelessly.
How far are the sxt’s of each other?
Hi Plisken
My scenario is:
192.168.2/0/24----------SXT1------PTP-------SXT2---------172.16.0.0/16
When I start a file transfer from 172.16.0.0/16 to 192.168.2.0/24 the speed transmission is around 70MB/s. Good for me!
When I start a file transfer from 192.168.2.0/24 to 172.16.0.0/16 the speed transmission is around 6MB/s. Bad for me!
I have checked:
NIC’s in both side;
Cables in both side;
Rules in both side;
So, I did the follow test:
Plug the SXT1 directly with my computer and use the btest and the speed transmission is around 6MB/s RX and 97MB/s TX.
The current firmware is 5.26, but I did the same test with firmware version 6.15.
I thinking that eth port is defective.
Throughs?
Make that the sxt not to close to each other if that so reduce the output power.
The radios are yelling to each other and that is not good signal must be are -60 to -70 dB
Other possibility make supout.rif and sent this to support@mikrotik.com
