Version 2.8 + Web Proxy + 2 Gateways.... please confirm??

I’ve been attempting to get this setup working for 4 months now (MT Tech Supp have been very helpful) but can’t.
I’ve read here on the archived Forum about a user who upgraded to v2.8 from an (unknown) earlier version. The Proxy with 2 Gateways then stopped working.
I’ve never had it working. I can either have 2 gateways, OR Proxy and 1 gateway.
Would someone PLEASE put me out of my misery…
Can the Web Proxy work with 2 Gateways in 2.8, or am I just an idiot? Do I need version 2.7 or 2.9 maybe?

Dying to find out,

Hi tell me your setup in MT

Essentially, the Router has 3 Intel Pro 1000 NIC’s; 2 are public, and one is the gateway for our 192.168.x.x LAN. I’ve got 2 ADSL Routers, each with 2 public IP’s. One IP from each is assigned to a Mikrotik NIC.

I have 3 additional routing tables; one for GW1, one for GW2, and one for GW1 + GW2.
Main has no 0.0.0.0 route, but I have a catchall 0.0.0.0 route to GW1 as the last Routing Rule.

Obviously I have a significant number of additional Rules in the Routing and the Mangle for steering external facing traffic such as SMTP out the right hole, but that’s basically it.
Web Browsing currently uses GW1 + GW2, so I at least get to use 2mbps + 2mbps.
When we used the Proxy, we were getting a typical Cache efficiency of 30 - 40%, as well as having the ability to monitor and analyse user traffic.
Sorely missed.
