VERY poor performance on pppoe

Hi,

I Have a CCR1016 with routeros V6 as a PPPoE server using RaDIUS. All setup is working fine but there is a big difference on performance.
With a router connected through pppoe client I have max 20 mb/s download speed , with the same setup getting IP from DHCP I get over 100Mb download speed. I have a 100M/100M connection to internet.

The PPPoE server profile uses change MSS(I tried with and without, and the result is the same), no encryption, Max MTU and MRRU set to 1480, both and use compression to default.

I tried to do the same setup with a laptop with 1GB nic and the result was the same. The router that I tried is a RB750GL, now i will try a RB2011.

Anyone has similar problems?

We are experiencing this same problem - Routeros 6.5

A PPPoE link shows very low speeds (2Mb/s) where a direct IP link on the same hardware setup shows vastly better speeds (40Mb/s).

Have you had any success in finding a solution ? If so, please share and save my grey hair.
