I always thought one thing… and today thought that I’m wrong …
If I choose:
A) 5600Mhz - 20 / 40MHz HT Above
B) 5600Mhz - 20 / 40MHz HT Below
Which frecuency really I’m using?
5600-5640 for A (above) and 5580-5620 for B (bellow)?
or
5600-5640 in both cases and “Above” and “Bellow” set if 20Mhz C channel is 5600-5620 or 5620-5640?
Thanks
What you set when selecting a channel is the “Center Frequency”, so if you set 5600 with 20Mhz channel width, 5600MHz will be the “center” of those 20MHz, using 5590-5610.
The “extension” channel is inmediatly contiguous, so if you select Above, it will be using 5590-5630, if you choose Below, it will use from 5570-5610.
You can have a look at the wiki for more details
Thank you very much. I was very wrong …
If I understand correctly, then If I select in WLAN setttings:
Frecuency “5580Mhz” and “20/40Mhz HT Above” then
Central channel = 5570-5590 and extension channel=5590-5610 (20Mhz for central + 20Mhz for extension)
Total range = “5570-5610”
That’s right?
