Very Slow Throughput Since ROS 6.0rc9 Upgrade [SOLVED]

I have an RB192 with 2 wireless cards used as an access point. When I upgraded from ROS 6.0rc7 to rc9 (& rc11) my wireless (11n & 11an) and Ethernet port throughput dropped to less than 0.1Mbps. Both cards are Atheros AR5413 based but I don’t remember the manufacturer. I tested wireless with no security (wide open) but the speed didn’t change. All of the Ethernet ports and the 2 wireless APs are tied together in a bridge configuration.

Anyone have any insight as to what is causing this problem with v6.0rc9+ ? I did look at the change log but didn’t see anything that might give a clue.

I tried to downgrade to ROS v5 but the OS won’t install the v5 file since it’s older than the current ROS.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

EDIT: When I opened a terminal window on the RB192 there was an error message saying roughly “Critical error, router shutdown without proper shutdown sequence on Jan 18th.” There may have been a power outage on that date and that was about the time I noticed the throughput problem.

I had run the winbox System/Reboot command several times since Jan 18th but the router’s throughput was still very low.

I ran the “shutdown” command then restarted the router and everything is fine.

I have found it difficult to run 5.x effectively on 100-series boards, though disabling unneeded packages helps.

/ system package print
/ system resource print

To downgrade: after uploading the file, use

/ system package downgrade
