I hope someone can maybe guide me or make a suggestion or 2.
I have a 5ghz point to point link that has some extremely weird behaviour.
Point A - Netmetal 5
Point B - Netbox 5
For some reason Point B’s Netbox just stops working/responding every day or every second day. This has started the 31st of January. I have replaced EVERYTHING on Point B’s Link. I replaced the Netmetal 5 to the current Netbox 5, I have replaced the Dish, the cat5 cable, the POE adaptor, the DC jack, the power cable running from the batteries I have moved directly to the solar charger. everything and I mean everything from the bottom to top have been replaced. I have NO IDEA why Point B is still doing this. Everything else on POINT B’s Mast keeps working, its just the uplink to Point A that keeps doing this. I have to unplug the power on the netbox and plug it back in, then it starts up correctly again.
Yesterday afternoon i was there again, and 2 light aircrafts passed over, now it got me thinking, could it be a radar problem? But why is only ever the uplink to Point A affected, never any of the other equipment on that site. I have 50+ highsites that I have been running for 9+ years, I have never seen such a problem.
