Ok this problem is somewhat confusing. try to follow me or else you’d get lost. i’ll try my best to make as much sense as i can.
see the attached picture to get an idea of how i have things setup.
so the problem now is i goto a clients site, i install a 24db grid antenna. connected to that antenna is an access point in CLIENT mode and its set to DHCP.
The access point gets the IP from the server and works.
From the access point i have the lan cable running down to the client laptop.
The lan card on the laptop is ALSO able to get an automatic IP from the server.
The problem now is i cant open a PPPOE connection (yes my pppoe is working fine. i have clients connected through lan)
Nor can I connect to the server hotspot page.
i have checked the settings for the outdoor access point thats used to transmit the wireless signal and its fine. as far as i can tell. the access point from the client side is able to connect to my outdoor unit and is able to get an ip from the server like i said above. even the pc gets an ip.
its just i cant get pppoe to work or get any page to load.
help anyone?
