View my cameras using the internal ip address

New to Mikrotik routers. After having numerous failures with other brands I was told about Mikrotik.
I am trying to view my Defender camera dvr using its internal IP address. I have port forwarded the IP address already, so viewing outside the local network is done. However I would like to be able to view the cams on my iPhone using the defender app using wifi and the internal address. All previous routers were set up this way. I just cannot make this work. What am I missing?.
RB3011 is the new router without wireless. Wireless is handled by a Ubiquiti unifi AP.

You may need to setup a bridge between your wireless LAN and the LAN your cameras “sit” in. You can also double check your firewall rules to be sure the traffic is permitted between the two VLANs.

Can you access the cameras from a computer on the same wireless connection as your iPhone?

That is where I would start. Report back and we can help you further.

You are missing this: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Hairpin_NAT

That is an option, however I believe the OP was talking about using the internal address versus the WAN IP. If he is strictly using the internal address while accessing it from within the network, then it should never access the NAT.

You are probably right but then this is the question how to configure DVR’s viewer.
If IP is pingable from LAN then should be no problem to specify local IP as destination instead of the public one.

Try several other options that were given to me off the forum. Still will not connect using the internally assigned IP address and port. Still searching for a solution. Thanks to all who replies with suggestions.
