In Winbox there’s a “Files” menu that opens up a “File List” window. I have something in there I want to look at. Clicking it just gives me the files properties. How do I open/download/view/edit a file?
I muddled through and found it:
/file edit [filename] contents
Another option would be is to download the file to your PC and open it with your preferred editor.
Best option I think is to download the file and view it on a PC… unless the file is really small and only contains text ![]()
Well that would be the OBVIOUS thing… but how? That’s what I was trying to do, but I saw no way of downloading. That’s why I eventually posted. In this case, it was only 2 Bytes, but yeah downloading would be the clear choice. I just didn’t see any way of doing it. Right clicking gave me nothing, doubleclicking opened up the properties only. I didn’t see a button. Drag and drop was a no-go.
In my case, right clicking gives me a list of options, including download.
The way I do it is clicking the ‘copy’ icon (third icon, the one with two sheets behind each other) and then paste somewhere on disk on my PC.
Drag and drop also works.
