Virtual Ethernet in RB1200

Good afternoon!

I have a RB1200 and several RB433 as AP. In RB433 there is an option of inserting Virtual Ethernet Interface menu, however, the RB1200 this option is nonexistent.

Someone could tell me why?

I consulted the manual and there is very clear:

Requirements

This menu Becomes available:

architeecture on x86 you have to have installed kvm packge
mipsbe on architecture RouterBOARDS
RouterBOARDS on ppc architecture, except RB333, RB600 and variants.

I thought it was the lack of any package, but it is not. Then I thought it was the new version 5.7 and is not.

Thanks to those who take the time to resolve this question.

God save the google translator!

The CPU in the RB1200 does not support Virtualization - therefore no Metarouter, and no Virtual Ethernet.
However, you can probably do what you need with a simple Bridge interface.
Create a new bridge, assign a admin-mac-address. Do not put any physical port on the bridge.
This makes the bridge interface behave like a “virtual” ethernet, or loopback interface.
