I need to separate a piece of my network into two vlan’s. How do I configure my access point(rb532 w/sr2) to do this?
I have tried to setup bridges, virtual ap’s and create vlan’s but I have somehow landed up destroying my configuration and now the rb532 is just constantly rebooting itself and I cannot access it anymore. I have another 532 that i’m trying a test config with and have found that if I create a vlan under a bridge interface it reboots. If the vlan is under an ether interface it will not reboot.
My idea was to create virtual ap’s on the access point then have each of the wireless clients connecting to separate virtual ap’s. Bridge the virtual ap with a vlan and then have the vlan’s both on the remote 532 board.
Will that work?
