Is there any [performance] benefit to using VLAN Filtering on MikroTik 60 GHz hardware?
At some point, I configured our 60 GHz CPEs with VLAN Filtering enabled as I was trying to unify some of our configuration methods, but still had the AP with VLAN Filtering disabled. I’d like to choose a method and make it consistent now.
Since these units don’t have a switch chip, I imagine there is no performance benefit to using VLAN filtering. That said, is there any specific reason to enable it or to disable it?
The hardware is a mix of wAP 60G AP, wAP 60G, nRAY, and LHG 60G, all currently running ROS 7.19.2.
Thank you.
