Vlan for a novice

Hi there, I am trying to get my head around vlans.

I have a 2011UiAS

ether1 is the Wan port

ether2 is the master for 3,4,5

ether2 goes into a unmanaged switch

ether 3 goes to a seperate card on my server.

I would like to use 3,4,5 for my iscsi devices (using ipxe) on a tagged vlan and have an untagged vlan for ports 2-10.

Does this sound correct? can someone help me with the configuration?

as far as I know, you can not use vlans on an unmanaged switch.

I dont want to use vlans on the unmanaged switch, was just saying ether2 is connected to one.

It sounds like you’re going to be routing between the vlans on the 2011i unit, so I believe you’ll need to use bridges. Create a vlan, create a bridge, then add the vlan and ports 3-5 into the bridge.
