VLAN/Guest Network alternatives for single connection - HomeWorking

Dear All, like most we are home working and my network was set up to enable us to do so. Unfortunately a lot of the stuff my kids want to run on their devices is not allowed.

I would like to dedicate on physical port on the router where I can connect a WiFi Access point and give them access to the internet in total isolation from the home network. I would like to do this without affecting the settings for the current network DNS/DHCP as they are handled by an external device.

Unfortunatelty I cannot access our usual support as they are too busy.

Any suggestions/guides would be most welcome.

What you ask for is most likely doable. But to modify an existing configuration, it is necessary to know it. So if you need useful suggestions, read my automatic signature just below and follow it.

A diagram of your network is worth a 1ooo words and is always helpful.
Imagine for us to guess is no fun, heck you didnt even state what MT you have…

What you ask for is very doable once we have facts!!
