I have a network running just fine. I am trying to come up with a way to upgrade client radios.
My thought is with vlans. I have all my client radios on private IP’s the customers pppoe in and get handed an ip and sets a simple queue. Now I can mac telnet a client radio from the AP. I also have in the AP a private IP set on the bridge interface for that private IP range that Client radios are on. Now when logged into a clients radio you cannot ping the ap. If I could I believe I would be able to do upgrades. So I think I need a vlan just for the private IP traffic of client to AP for upgrade reasons.
