VLAN On MikroTik hAP ac²

I just got a new hAP router and wondering if anyone can assist with setting VLANS.
I just want something basic, as follow:

  • Ethernet 2-3 to VLAN10 for IOT and Media devices.
  • Ethernet 4-5 and WLAN to VLAN20 for Computers

I’d also like to have separate DNS settings set for VLAN 10 as I make use of a dns proxy for streaming purposes. Total newb at Mikrotik and only previously used openwrt which was much easier to manage.
Any assistance will really be appreciated.

Welcome to the fun!
The first thing I would do is ensure I use the safe mode button on winbox (top left). It allows you to recover gracefully when you put in config item that causes the router to burp. Just hit reconnect and it brings you back to where you first enabled safe mode. The trick is to make a change, wait 10 seconds, if nothing happens undo the button and reapply the button, (saves the change and puts you back in safe mode). Also do not change the default fire rules no matter how many youtube vidoes you watch. Keep them until later until you know far more…
