Hi friends,
I am having problems transporting VLAN (trunk) traffic with Mikrotik radios. Please I need your help. The diagram of the setup is as follows
Point A======= Point B======= Point C (This setup is a point to multi point)
• At Points A and C respectively we have a cisco switch with VLAN configuration
• We are transporting 3 VLAN from point A to C
• We have a mikrotik box on point A with the following parameters (IP Address=192.168.1.121/24, as a station)
• We have a mikrotik box on point B with the following parameters (IP Address=192.168.1.122/24, as ap-bridge)
• We have a mikrotik box on point C with the following parameters (IP Address=192.168.1.123/24, as a station)
• The IP Address of the cisco switch are at Point A 192.168.1.60/24
• The IP Address of the cisco switch are at Point B 192.168.1.52/24
• VLAN1 = Management (192.168.1.0/24)
• VLAN2 = Staff (192.168.48.0/22)
• VLAN3 = Students (192.168.52.0/22)
• I can ping A from C and vice verse
• VLAN2 machines (Staff) can surf the internet but cannot use outlook to download their mails from their exchange server. The exchange server IP Address is 192.168.2.15/24.
• VLAN3 machines (Students) can NOT surf the internet and cannot use outlook to download their mails from their exchange server. The exchange server IP Address is 192.168.2.15/24.
• We can ping the exchange server from both VLAN 2 and VLAN3
• When we bring the cisco switch on Point C to Point A and connect them with a cross cable every thing works fine. This shows me that the problem is on the wireless part. (Connecting switch A and C directly with a cross cable)
• We can ping the students proxy which is 192.168.224.5 from machines on the students VLAN.
• We introduced point B because there is no clean line of site from A to C directly. Otherwise we would have gone directly from Point A to Point C.
• The gateway for 192.168.1.0/24 is 192.168.1.1
Please help, thanks in advance.
Regards,
