Hello Everybody.
First, cheers to the great community over here.
i wish to get some help in a somehow difficult situation for my level of knowledge. here it is:
1- i am connected to the ISP via fibre with a fixed ip of x.x.x.x its a Hawei 4 port switch router (their own equipment, mainly for fiber to cable media converter)
2- My Routerboard is conected through a dynamic ip generated from Hawei lan side in port Ether1
3-my office LAN is connected to Ether2 on my Routerboard, getting static and dynamic ip’s from
My question is, how can i connect from my home to my office Lan? Maybe a pptp? how can i configure it ( general directions)
i can make intermediate operations in the mikrotik configuration, so i will be well aware of any terminology mentioned here.
Thanks and best Regards
Erjon Zaloshnja,
Do you have access to the Huawei router? if yes, forward PPTP port to your Mikrotik and setup PPTP server on MT. you need forward port 1723 and also Protocal GRE (47)
if you don’t have access to the Huawei, then the only thing you can do is setup VPN client from your MT to a VPN server 3rd location which you have access to. for example, an office network with VPN server running on its public IP.
