VLAN's and so on

Hi!

Have tried for months now to get VLAN’s to work properly with microtik and have hade no luck.
What I want is to have one management net and several customer vlans.

Example:
On basestation I get default vlan (management) untagged and VLAN 12 and VLAN 20 tagged into port Eth1.

At the customer end I wan’t VLAN 12 and VLAN 20 tagged out on port Eth1 and management VLAN untagged on port 2.

Have tried to create bridges for each VLAN but it always ends up with everything stop working. Have read the docs but to be honnest…it is really not the best documentation I’ve seen

It works for the customer now, but I don’t want them around in our management network, so I have to delete the management vlan from the switch port whenever I don’t need to have contact with the equipment…not that great cause we don’t have any surveilence over the link that way…any config help would be helpful.

Hasn’t anyone managed to use VLAN’s?
Guess we just have to use Proxim instead… :frowning:

vlans work fine on our equipment… maybe your NIC doesnt support vlans ? What hardware NIC ? probably a switch vlan config issue.
