Hi there, i’m new using mikrotik and I’m trying to separate my subnets and VLAN’s, but for some reason they are communicating each other.
Example:
Subnet1: 172.16.100.0/24 - Vlan 5
Subnet2: 172.16.150.0/24 - Vlan 10
My desktop that is Subnet1 are pinging my cellphone in subnet2.
Does anyone know how and why it happens?
Because a router routes between all the subnets on its interfaces unless you use firewall rules to restrict this. The firewall rules provided by the default configuration only restrict communication via WAN.
