I was following this guide initially to setup VLANs on the router itself and ended up losing connection on a port which no VLAN was setup.

I then went here to configure the switch connected to the router but the VM I was testing with had no connectivity.

My setup is 2 ports are connecting the router to the switch then two machines are plugged into the switch along with a WAP for wireless clients. I would like to have four VLANs, two for home stuff and two for server stuff. Did I miss a step with the above articles?
