vlans/torch/2.9.42

I am monitoring an ethernet vlan with torch. I know it’s the right vlan since the remote IP network’s IP address is assigned to that vlan. I am using torch on an intermediate MT between my home MT and the work MT, which connect to each other with pptp.

[vncserver-MTpptpclient]------[vlanswitch-problem MT running torch]—internet network—[MTpptpserver-vncclient]

I am running vnc over the pptp tunnel and no pptp traffic shows up on the intermediate MT’s torch. All 4 checkboxes are checked, and protocol/port are both set to any. The remote VNC server computer at home is continually refreshing the display as it’s doing a winscp file transfer (over the internet, not the vpn) and constantly displaying changing numbers and progress information, so there should be VNC traffic. ssh traffic is ever present on torch at the intermediate MT, as scp uses ssh protocol.

I can upgrade this middle box to 2.9.44, but I don’t like to upgrade needlessly, and can’t do it during normal waking hours as it’s used by customers. Any ideas before I schedule an upgrade? Thanks!
