VoIP - Incoming calls issue (SPA-2102)

Hello,
I was recently provided an MT router by my ISP and they were nice enough to give me access to the GUI through winbox. Everything works except my voip phone/adapter (Cisco SPA2102).
All out-going calls work flawlessly however, every incoming call goes straight to voicemail, the phone doesn’t even ring. I’m assuming that some ports are disabled by default and MT router is not passing the voice traffic to the voip router.

If i plug in my old router, everything works. I could continue to use the older router however, it only supports B/G wireless and i would like to use N.

I’m a complete newbie so not sure where to look. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Unless you open ports (port map) on the MikroTik, you’ll need to configure your VoIP equipment to keep a UDP session open with your VoIP provider. There should be a setting on your phone, something to the effect of “behind NAT”.

After searching through various screens in the voip router, i stumbled upon a field called: NAT Mapping enable. Changed it to No and voila!!
Never thought i’d be so happy to hear a phone ring :sunglasses: .

Thank you pcunite.

That is the opposite of what he suggested isn’t it?

Did you forward ant ports with NAT or enable UPNP? I had problems with my Linksys adapter but maybe I will go back to it to see if I can get it to work.

I didnt modify anything on the router and to be honest, i dont know my way around this box at all. Only thing i changed was the setting on linksys.
