Have anybody tried to port the ruleset of ASTShaper/Wondershaper to Mikrotik.
Not being too clued on on QOS and management and having gone over the examples in the WIKI i have questions.
- Does Mikrotik support HFSC as opposed to HTB?
- Is SFQ the same as HFSC?
I have tried with limited success to shape Voip traffic using queu-tree an simple queus.
Questions:
When creating a parent queu. What influence does the parent ques priority have.
Example:
Create a parent queu in q-tree with the default priority of 8.
If any of the children is created with a priority of 1 and another is created with a priority of 6, are the packets from priority 1 delivered before priority six? What influence does the priority of the parent queu have on this?
I have read the manual and can’t find the answer (I really hope i didn’t miss this otherwise i will get flamed…)
