VOIP SIP Call disconect after 15 minutes

Hi Everyone.

I’ve installed a IP PBX at a customer location and they use a Mikrotik Router. It’s new to me, and network wise, I mostly know Cisco, a bit of pfsense and a bit of FortiGate.

We can’t place or receive call that will last more than 16 minutes 39 seconds. Every time.

My SIP provider told me to disable sip ALG. I googled and found that I have to go in IP / Firewall / Service Port and then disable SIP. Is that the right way ? Could not find more info.

After some other reseach I found that it could be a sip refresh timeout but I can’t find where to look.

Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Thanks

hi, yes that was correct and the sip alg is the sip refresh timeout, I’d times debugging on the pbx should there still be problems. br

Thanks for your reply,
I will try so swap the router for another brand and see if I get the same result, then I will investigate on the PBX itself.

am convinced that it is a pbx or sip provider problem, have many years of experience with it myself, please keep me running

Remember any changes to sip service in firewall requires reboot.

Hi,
i faced the same issue even i did disable the SIP alg in service port.
upto my knowledge its is double nating both by ipbx and also by router
disabling the SIP ALG does the trick for me.
Its working fine for past three months although i didn’t get a answer for my thread
Remember always reboot the router after disabling SIP ALG.
