I’m testing some devices to perform a correct OSPF, MPSL, VPLS, MTU setup.
As I readed, VPLS fragments and re-assembles paquets silently.
Can I know if VPLS is fragmenting?
Thanks!

Ping with “don’t fragment” bit.
I was told that VPLS splits and re-assembles silently. So, as I understand, the ping does not “see” what is happening under the hood and the no-fragment flag wont give me any clue.
My tests give me that impression because I can ping with 1500 bytes without fragmentation. But, for sure, MPLS takes some bytes.
Yes, VPLS packets are fragmented silently. You can see if packet is fragmented by running packet sniffer on out interface.
