vpn addressing best practice

What is best practice addressing for vpn connection:

  1. for local use one address, for remote adress pool ?
  2. for each vpn connection make /30 subnet ?

Hello

For ptmp setups, I give an address to the local interface and use a pool for remote users.

For ptp links, I use /32 on both ends. /30 would work but I don’t like to waste.
