I do not know how much is the DD-Wrt different from some regular Linux, but I’ve managed to get it going recently.

I used some distro specific Google searches.
Also, disable/enable OpenVPN server between your config change tries and do not forget to change Common Name for each client certificate generation run (http://green-possum-today.blogspot.com/2012/07/txtdb-error-number-2-when-generating.html).
