Firstly, my networking expertise is practically none so hopefully the below question makes sense.
When working from home I need to upload/download files to/from our web server which is locked down so I can only connect through a VPN. We use OpenVPN with UDP and TLS.
I can connect using the VPN, then use SFTP to upload files and also to list files on the remote server. I cannot download though. The download process begins but times out with no bytes received. No reason is given in the logs or by the SFTP software.
I borrowed a mobile WiFi unit to check that the VPN was working correctly and there were no problems with that. I could upload and download without any problems at all.
I’ve checked with our ISP and they say that there shouldn’t be any problems from their side.
So, it looks like the router is the culprit but I don’t know where to begin looking. Any help or pointers as to where to look would be greatly appreciated.
I’m using Webfig 6.23 and the firmware version is 3.09
