Hi Everyone!
Hoping to get some help from the experts please!! I’m new to Mikrotik and I’m attempting something I think is a bit non-standard, but anyway, here goes;
Looking at my Home Network config, I think I’m missing something simple, but for the life of me, the info online doesn’t really seem to deal with my (IMO: Non-standard) config.
I have an existing Home Network to which I have attached a Mikrotik RouterBoard (RB951Ui-2HnD) for the purposes of of provisioning a home VPN.
My Mikrotik is a secondary Router with my Primary ADSL and Lan interface being a GB TPLink.
I have gotten quite far but the last piece of the puzzle is vexing me.
In my config (Image below) I am able to successfully establish VPN Session from remote clients. local to the network I can see my VPN Client (Ping etc), but my VPN Client is not able to see or access anything on the local network, except for the the 2 routers (TP-Link ADSL and Downline Mikrotik VPN Router).
The below graphic shows the issue (Purple and yellow boxes), as well as all the necessary configs (afaik).
In a nutshell, the reason my Mikrotik is not first in line is because the routerboard is 10/100 only and my TP-Link is Gigabit and I want to keep my primary network on GB/S.
The Mikrotik is performing the sole purpose of giving me a VPN gateway into my network, where 10/100 is not a problem…
Any help on this would be hugely appreciated!!!
Regards
Dylan
