Perhaps it is because of too much coffee and too little sleep but no matter what, I can’t seem to get a VPN to work. Here’s the export compact:
exportcompact.txt (3.33 KB)
In short I have one computer on the outside and it is trying to L2TP or PPTP in so that it can access resources on the network (printers, etc.). Should be a really simple thing but after it connects, it can’t ping or access any resources. The gateway can ping both the remote user and the local printers.
HELP!
Anyone? I can’t believe that there is no response!
I’m running ROS 6.03
I am using either PPTP or L2TP.
I followed the examples found online to the “T”
I even tried clear config and remake.
Remote user cannot access anything on the inside.
As far as I can tell, all the firewall rules are “wide open”
Please help!
try changing your ppp-profile local-address to 192.168.125.1 and make sure proxy-arp is turned on, on the LAN interface.
Try setting proxy-arp on the lan interface, not the gateway.
I saw ARP was “enabled” … I didn’t realize that it should be “Proxy-ARP” …
Thanks. You’re a life saver.
