Hi all,
I have created VPN thru PPTP. Everyting is working fine but the problm is afrer establishing tunnel my Internet STOP working. The Internet is working properly when tunnel is NOT established.

I want that both should work at a time.

Any Solutions.

I suppose what you are experiencing is this:

  • You have checked “use standard gateway of remote network” (don’t know the exact labeling in English Windows versions) in the extended properties of the ip settings in your PPTP connection. (This option is enabled by default for new PPTP connections.)
  • You don’t have your PPTP server setup so that you can access the internet over the PPTP connection (might be just an error, or intent).

So whenever you establish your PPTP connection, ALL your traffic (i.e. even all internet traffic) is going out over the PPTP tunnel, but cannot make it to the internet.
You can disable the “use remote standard gateway” option in your PPTP setting in your Windows client, and you should be fine.

and do not for get if you are useing the remote gate way you will have to nat your traffice for it to function correctly

Both Side i am using MT as a server as well as client(PPTP). If i NAting (Src-NAT). The Internet is working at my Client LAN. But the traffic goes through WAN. IF i remove NAT, Only tunnel is working Internet is NOT working.

Want Both same time. Any solutions
