vpn not seeing other computers

Hello,


I have recently setup a vpn so that friends can connect to my network.
I have no problem with them logging in, they connect fine and they can access the other computers via their ip. But if they go to network places on windows, then all the computers on the local network dont show up.

I followed this tutorial:

What do i need to change / enable to allow for them to see all the computers in windows networking? Cause they can access the local computers if they put in an ip address.

are all these pc’s in the same ip-range?

pptp dont give you a l2 net. to see all computers connecting to the same net. try using l2tp instead

With l2tp do i have to use ipSec?

Can i not just enable the server and connect to it?

L2TP requires IPsec as far as I know
Google Greg Sowell and he has a VPN how to for L2TP and IPsec Mikrotik Setup

L2TP does not require IPSec, IPSec is used to encrypt the traffic
