VPN question - accessing shared folders on a windows network

Hi,

I have got remote vpn access set up to the Mikrotik router in our office. I can connect to it fine and access the internet once connected. I can also ping anything in the office and winbox into a Mikrotik wireless AP in there too. What I can’t do is “see” the computers in the office from my laptop at home and therefore I cannot access any shared folders etc. Is there something simple I am missing - like it is not possible at all? :confused:

Any thoughts or ideas would be very welcome as it is driving me nuts!

‘Network Neighbourhood’ works only in the range of one broadcast domain. so forget about that. use “\ip-address” instead of “\computer-name” to access shared folders. or setup WINS. but still no Network Neighbourhood
