VPN with Windows XP via L2TP

Hello ,

Can someone point me a guide to set up mikrotik router as L2tp server and windows xp as l2tp client …

I got some problem with that , always got certificate error from windowsxp .

Away from my desk at the moment but I believe you can only do pre-shared key.

There’s a small section in the VPN part of the manual on this topic. Biggest problem though is that NAT-T is not supported which renders this function useless for me. I’m using PPTP for remote access VPN.

Ah, you’re not using IPSEC. MS clients will try and use it by default. There’s a simple registry hack for this. A google search should find it.
