VRF Understanding and Setup

Hi guys, I am trying to get my head around VRF setups in Mikrotik as we are looking to deploy a private network across an MPLS backbone provided by another carrier, but we need to create and manage the VRF’s for it. There will be multiple VRF’s as we plan on running multiple customers across this network.

I am looking at using routerboards for the edge routers as well as RouterOS for the core routers, so need to get an understanding of how this will hang together.

Can anybody point me in the direction of a good “How To” guide or something with decent examples so I can learn how this works please, real examples are always good for picking stuff up.

Thanks, this is good reading, however it doesn’t seem to match the scenario I am looking at, as my setup will only have one router in the data centre which terminates all the VRF’s according to my carrier, whereas the examples show edge routers on the MPLS network.

It seems like the design I would have would look more like a typical hub and spoke design, how would these examples fit with that do you know ?
