I am new here, however I am sure someone will welcome me and help me out.
I have recently setup 2 Mikrotik units that have have a couple of Vlans and VRRP interfaces.
The VRRP/Vlan configuration has been tested and all configuration working as it should be.
Next Task is the WAN link (The ISP Connection), I currently have one Internet link to my DSL Modem that is bridged, Previously when I had only one Mikrotik, Without the VRRP set-up, this one unit did the PPPOE dialling.
Now since I have Two Mikrotiks in an Active/Standby configuration I would like to have the VRRP active Mikrotik connecting via PPPOE.
What I would like to achieve is when the Standby Mikrotik becomes Master Enable your PPPOE interface, and when it becomes slave again (pre-empt enabled) it will disable its PPPOE interface.
However I am not sure how to do this, or where to do this (as a system script, as a VRRP script etc..)
Does anyone have a script for this, so do you suggest a better way of doing this, obviously keeping to my current internet link/Mikrotik’s.
