I’m wanting to setup VRRP on a 2.9.38 but want to make sure that all the known bugs are taken care of?
Also I’m a newbie when it comes to VRRP.
Does the primary and second need to have the exact same configuration on both?
Anyone have any scripts that they might have prewritten or i can get access to?
after reading manual you should be able to create working VRRP setup. That would be at least one vrrp interface and 2 routers.
about router configuration - it is only up to you are they same configs or similar, or completely different.
if you get into problems just ask here.
I named my interface VRRP on both routers and gave them the exact same config. I noticed when i setup VRRP according to the manual, when i assign the VRRP interface to the VRRP it puts the status as invalid. But when i assign VRRP to the customers interface or backhaul interface it works… Any suggestions what i’m missing?
